Who operates this service

HappyWP, LLC, doing business as CourseBrain.ai, operates this website and platform. Contact support@coursebrain.ai for privacy questions or requests.

Information we process

We process account email addresses, password hashes, authentication records, workspace and membership information, onboarding submissions, course materials, support requests, payment references, policy acceptance records and usage counts. When you ask a tutor a question, the request includes your question and recent conversation context. Hosting providers also process connection information such as IP addresses and request logs.

Stripe collects payment card or bank details on its hosted pages. CourseBrain stores payment references and status, rather than full card or bank account numbers.

Why and with whom

We use this information to provide accounts, private course access, managed setup, answers, billing, customer support, security and recordkeeping. Authorized CourseBrain operators can access customer workspaces for these purposes. Creators can manage their student roster and course content.

Providers include Railway for application hosting and storage, Cloudflare for website delivery and email routing, Postmark for account emails, and Stripe for payments. When a private AI tutor is enabled, OpenAI processes submitted conversation context and relevant course excerpts to generate answers. Public sample searches do not call an AI model or use client libraries. External font services receive ordinary browser requests when fonts load.

We do not sell personal information or publish private course libraries as public demonstrations without permission. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate misuse or protect the service. Providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate; this service does not promise country-specific data residency.

Cookies and browser storage

Session cookies keep you signed in. Some tutor interfaces save conversation history in your browser; clearing browser storage removes those local copies. Content you submit in a tutor request is still processed by the service and applicable AI provider. Browser history storage is not a backup of your course library.

Retention and your choices

We retain account, course and service records as needed to operate your workspace, support you, maintain security, handle disputes and meet recordkeeping obligations. Canceling renewal or removing a student does not automatically delete all records. Deletion and export requests are handled through support after identity and authority verification; there is currently no automatic self-service deletion workflow.

Ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing support. Students can also contact their course creator about course membership and creator-controlled records. Some billing, security or dispute records may need to be retained. Backup copies can persist after removal from active storage until those copies are retired. We will explain applicable limitations when handling a request and honor rights required by applicable law.

Security and updates

We use access controls, hashed passwords, protected sessions and backups to reduce risk. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit credentials or unnecessary sensitive information in course uploads, chat or support forms. We will update this notice when data practices change and provide additional notice where required.
